To Our Customers,
Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world.
For Piantedosi Baking Company, that means understanding how it affects our employees, customers and communities, and then making the necessary adjustments to our work and operations.
We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping our customers and our employees safe. This has always been our priority and is at the center of our conversations every step of the way. With that in mind, we have taken additional measures in our business in response to the threat of the coronavirus. We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. In addition, we are monitoring a variety of sources (such as U.S. state and local health authorities), for updates and recommendations affecting our operations.
We feel deeply for those who have been affected. Thankfully, as of now, we’re not aware of any associate contracting COVID-19 and have implemented guidelines and shared specific instructions on preventative measures to help protect from virus related illnesses (e.g., properly washing hands, staying home if feeling sick or returning from an area identified as posing a coronavirus-related risk). Per CDC recommendations, we will ask employees who have traveled to such locations or have been exposed to others who have traveled to such locations to self-quarantine for 14 days.
We’ve always taken great pride in our BRC Certified Bakery, and we know this is more important than ever right now. We follow very strict good manufacturing processes (GMP’s) that include our hand wash stations, sanitation procedures, and housekeeping. We have shared specific instructions with all of our employees requiring that they follow the CDC guidelines to help prevent the spread of the virus.
We want you to know that the health and safety of our Customers and Employees has always been, and continues to be our first priority. As this is a rapidly evolving situation, we will continue to monitor the situation and we’re committed to doing our part to help keep you safe.
